...Thy Neighbor...

You're supposed to love them right? And I guess you can say I do, if for nothing else there is the fact that I never have to worry about making too much noise. Why, you may ask? Well Matt and I live next to a couple of Civilian Contractors (that in general is a blog for another day, but bear with me) and they do their own thing (putting it lightly {and again, more on Contractors in general later.})
So they keep strange hours, one day I happened to be home around 1000 and they came like they'd just worked a full day and maybe not seen each other, when I'd heard them leave sometime around 0800. And evidently they don't know how to talk to each other, they just know how to yell, not mad yell, but like, "we're about 100 meters away and I'm afraid you won't be able to hear me" yelling. First thing in the morning, late at night, strange times in the middle of the day it doesn't matter they just yell.
Not just at each other though, also on the phone (or computer chat, or whatever) they have no volume lower than 11. I know more bout these folks than any neighbor should, up to and including: stupid facts about movies..."could you believe it at the end where they killed that guy with a rock" ( I don't even pretend to know what movie they were talking about), to gift certificates, to "you look good, you'd look even better without any clothes on" (I know shudder), I could go on and on, but I start to get creeped out.
Oh and when they drop something I half expect it to roll into our room (yes it is that loud, the walls are super thin, but c'mon...really.) And then there is the fact that they evidently play two radios all night long; one with Techno and the other on AFN, The Eagle (where if you heard it yesterday, you'll probably hear it again today.
So like I said, I have nothing to fear as far as making noise goes. 'Cos really if they were to ever pound on the wall, or come over here all I would say is...

"Really?!?!?"

So there you go..."Love thy neighbor" 'cos what else are you going to do?
Cheers,
g

Wait for the Wheel

Someone, somewhere once said, "Life is like a great big wheel, and it keeps spinning 'round. And of course we are attached to it. Sometimes it lifts you incredibly high, other times it grinds you into the ground, crushes you." That being said, all any of use really have to do is Wait for the Wheel. Of course that can be a bit of a "double-edged sword" since if you wait for it to lift you up, that's great...being positive and all. But if you wait for it to grind then you're "being negative."

I like to think of it as Realistic, but who am I? Fact is you've got to prepare yourself for it I guess, while during the grind it can be comforting to know that there will always be an upswing, if you focus on the grind while up...See what I mean, you can't win. But you can, and you will, but chances are you will always lose too. Such is Life.

So Wait for the Wheel. Either way at least there will be Change. Something we always think we can rely on after all, "All that ever stays the same is Change." And then you find yourself somewhere like here, and well...Six Mondays and a Sunday.

Now don't go thinking that I am being morose or writing this for any reason that I promised that I would do better about this thing, and did promise to explain the Wheel...so no deeper or hidden meaning. Just me being me.

Oh, and five bucks to whomever can come up with the "Wheel" reference that I have paraphrased here.

Cheers,
g

I Really Should Do Better

Wish I had some good excuse, but I don't. Not really there was the whole sinus infection thing, and everyone is always busy. Busy living or busy dying, or "just tryin' to survive" so "Polly put the kettle on" from here forward I will (try at least to) do better.

There's so much to say and yet there really isn't. I guess if you haven't "been there and done that" it might not seem like it. It might actually be fascinating, or seem so. And there are days, but beyond that there are hours. And like Indiana Jones said, "It's not the years sweetheart, it's the mileage."
Right now I just want to go to sleep and probably should 'cos when its 2355 and you have to get up and do it all over again at 0500...But it's all about "living" I guess, you need to do something besides work and eat and sleep and do it all over it again. Oh and shit, unless it is that point in the cycle where you just can't..."wait for the wheel" though and soon you'll be able to do nothing else. More on the wheel later maybe, perhaps one in ten got the reference, so it might bear going over at somepoint. It fits, not just here but life in general. Someday remind me and I will do my best to make some sense.
I do have some Christmas pics, since my lovely wife thought (and rightly so) that I probably needed a little Holiday somethingorother (and knew that I wouldn't on my own) sent me one package that I am actually able to open up before Christmas. I sure do love her. So I will share two with y'all now. One is of a little red Christmas tree that lights up, hard as Hell to get a picture of though (my hands tend to shake) and the other is my prepacked stocking (no I didn't take stuff out it was sent that way so I didn't cheat at all) Hope enjoy, I know it made a little difference in my life. Did I mention how much I love my wife?
I guess that isn't too bad for not being here in forever...

File Me Under Super Geek

So you may call me a big Super Geek, but if nothing else my time off recuperating has brought me back to an original love.
Farscape
If you don't know what it is find out, go somewhere, you tube, scifi.com, hulu, Ali's DVD Emporium and find out. One of the best shows to ever grace television, period. Before it's time, underappreciated, way to smart for the average Boob Tube watcher.
So I may be a Super Geek, but at least I've got good taste. I only brought a few DVDs with me; some Doctor Who, The Return of the King, and Farscape. And baby life couldn't be better. I actually get excited about something, so label me if you have to but, Fascape Lives. Frell me dead!

Sorry, I Haven't Been Here In Awhile

What can I say, sometimes work drags you off in directions you cannot predict. Other times you end up with a Railroad Spike in your head. Figuratively of course. That is what the sinus infection felt like anyway. Today it is more like a knife. Jennifer said she hopes tomorrow feels like a pencil, I guess I have to take that as a good thing, right?
So as not to go on and on about the pain and all the fun that it brings, we'll just move on. To what though, I don't know. I have some ideas in my head but they are going to take way, way more concentration than I have yet. For lack of anything better then I will start something that I hope makes sense eventually...

Picture me Alone
With or without everything I've know
Watch it slip through my fingers
Somewhere between the dust and the Road
Lost more than I've gained
While along the Way

Thankfulness

Today we say thanks, for what we have, and from here what we have not as well. So without further ado...thanks.

First off I need to say how thankful I am for my wife, who has changed my life (it’s almost like I should rhyme again, but I will resist) and for all the support she has given me. It is hard to put it all in a couple of sentences and all I can really do is let her know that I will keep on being thankful, and doing my best to show her that for the rest of our lives.

Next come Family and friends back home who’ve been there for me (and are still there for me, they are just there and I am here) who I can’t look in the eye, wrap my arms around, and say thank you to. You all know who you are, so pat yourself on the back and know that I am grateful for you all and your support and love.

Now I have to say thanks to some others (they don’t read this yet, but I should probably tell them about it sometime) namely my crew here. I couldn’t ask for a better bunch. And I can smile to myself a little when I think about that. You see there were so many things that I said, “Never again” about after last deployment. I had a dream of a team, or a Family, and knew that when I had to do this again (Jennifer will no doubt notice that I didn’t say “if”) that is what had to be built. And from the top to the bottom, from side to side, and however else you want to call it, there isn’t a finer bunch. They make me proud every day. The way they work, the way we stand together, the way that we know and think of each other at each and every turn. I hope they know when I tell them, “Thanks” and “Good job” and “Y’all make me proud” etc. that I mean that with all that I am. So here’s to the Ox, Caveman, Stacker, Snapper, Robo, Blackout, Papa Smurf, and the Ma’am. Cheers Six, and thanks. You are my Family and my friends and yes (to get all sappy) I love you all. Now get back to work.

And I would be wholly remiss if I didn’t mention Those Guys, my bandmates. Thanks for helping to keep me sane, and making something that regardless of whatever else is going on is something good. Something that is ours. Thanks to Matt, the Bomber, Sprad, David, and Maturin.

Last, but not least to all my other friends and Family here suffering every step of the way together. To the 49th, for all its good and bad and otherwise is a part of my life that I am proud of. Like it or not we are a Family, with all that comes with it. To name a few (there is no way I would even try to name them all, but they know who they are) Arne, Tim, Top, Cedric, Missy, Jonothan, Sophie, Trevor, Keith, Naz, Jose, Daniel...it’s hard to tell when to stop. Please don’t anybody feel left out my brain kinda hurts here. Thank you all for all that you do...here and there, Family and friends.

Cheers,

So the Vacation Is Over

Yep as you will see from recent photos the Vacation From Myself is over. First to go was the hair, it is just too much work to get it cut by a "professional" that and it just takes too long. Used to was, where we were before I could wander over to the "Barber" and get a quick cut. Also, and maybe this is rose-coloured glasses here but, it didn't seem like there were a thousand dudes all looking to get their haircut at the exact same moment as me. I take that back, lines sucked then don't get me wrong that is one thing that never changes, no good comes from standing in the queue. Maybe it was easier last time just to say "Forget it," and walk away. Nowadays it might be days before I get the proper amount of time and getupandgo (for lack of a better term) to actually get it done. So gone is the hair, it is too easy for me to just hit it with the clippers every couple of days.
Next came the 'stache, not that having to shave more or less of my face makes really any difference, but I think only Pirates can pull off the no hair and mustache look. Just not me, maybe I'll get bored again and try something new, but really my choices are pretty limited.
I'll post a picture in a couple of days, but whatever. The amazing thing is that you get all these geeky looks and comments, even though I've had little or no hair and no mustache way more than I have had them, yet it seems like a big deal to some people. I guess I should just be glad that they noticed. Talked to a guy the other day (no names please) and he said he shaved off his mustache the other day for the first time in like 20 years, and only 2 people commented (myself being one, natch) either way, what are you going to do.
Cheers,

Here We Are

Face to face, a couple of Silver Spoons. That's me and the Governor, if you'll note my eyes it looks like I am not really sure that I can trust him. But in the end he was a pretty nice guy. There are other pictures that are way better, but they aren't of me (probably at least half the reason why) so I'd need to ask permission to post first.
We tried to take a section picture but were being rushed (probably why we didn't get a unit
photo either {or it could be that I was there, so they couldn't possibly take a unit photo that I was in, those who've seen the current unit photo understand it was taken at Ft. Dix after we'd already left to come here}) but notnetheless some sections had plenty of time to take a couple of pictures, but whatever. If you look really close you can just see me and the MSG.
So there you are, our breakfast with the Gov. By the way he said, "You've got really good food here" and having eaten in the Cafeteria at the Capitol (and gotten pretty messed up from it, not just me either...) I can see where he is coming from.
Cheers,

I Forgot...

...to Remember to Forget. Or so said the King. Me though I just forgot, I forgot to get up on time (which in my own defense was early) the other day, then I forgot to bring my camera so that I could be like EVERYONE else and take pictures while we had breakfast with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, then I forgot to get the pictures that were taken of me and Arnold by the PAO. Pretty sure I must have forgot something else today, but I can't remember so...
Breakfast was pretty cool, I mean there really isn't a reason for the Gov. to be here, except he wants to say Hi and Thank You, or whatever. He's not up for re-election and he can't run for President so why else. He said hello to a bunch of Soldier, not just us and gave a couple of speaches that sounded really familiar, but who cares. I haven't seen anyone else come here just to say hello, they all come for some political maneuver or some freak'n photo op. But I digress...
Tomorrow (if I remember) I will post some pictures. I have to warn everyone though, he isn't as tall as you might think.
What was the point of all this? I seem to have lost my train of thought, surely it is sloshing around in the mud somewhere (more on the mud later, I have to take some pictures, 'coz you wouldn't believe it otherwise) or spinning down the drain. I better go take a shower before I forget to.
Cheers,

On Armistice Day

So if you checked "the facebook" (I like saying it like that it makes me feel old and crusty) first then you are here for the continuation (seems you only get so many characters there, good thing that aint true here) of what I was trying to say. Here is what I started with...

-Guess I'd better chime in on Veteran's Day or Armistice Day, as it used to was called. A lot of good men and women have served in the making of this great country, and we should all tip our collective hat to them. By standing together we can make a difference in our country and the world. I guess I just want to say something from all of us here/now, and "Thank you" just doesn't seem enough. Maybe it will just have to do though.
Thank you to all the Vets and to all the well wishers. -

No only did I not have enough room for all that, but it just isn't enough, not really. I know it might be weird to hear me say that I am at a loss for words, but...Maybe I'm just tired. You'd think that I would be sure enough to have something eloquent to say, or at least ramble on about. But really "Thank You" says it all. It is weird to say "You're Welcome" but I guess someone should. So I'll step up and say it.

I like to think back on the history of our nation and think about all the people who had to believe in it to make it real. To make it what it is today (and hopefully what it can be tomorrow {'coz I won't lie, it isn't perfect and probably never has been...but that's what it is all about right? striving for the ideal.}) The words, "of the people, by the people" may not seem to always seem to mean as much as they once did, or what they really could, but don't let the hype fool you, don't let the status quo remain if you don't like it. Stand up for what you believe in and "Don't let the bastards grind you down."
Happy Veteran's Day
Thank you
Your Welcome
Cheers,
g

PS-I hope everyone enjoyed their day off (those of you that got one anyway.)

No Respect for the (Not Really) Classics

I am surprised that no one caught this and tried to rub it in my face. "The Marathon Man" was a movie from the 70's or 80's with Dustin Hoffman, I think it was even set in New York. I guess if I said Arnold Schwarzenegger, everyone would have gotten "The Running Man" probably not so much if I had said Conchita Maria Alfonzo, but whatever.
Cheers to all that did get it (anyone? anyone?) and the rest of you should check out IMDB or Google.
Just taking a few hours off my feet before band practice, you've got to escape however you can. That is the watchword for the deployment so far (and probably for life in general) and on the (how many days has it been now? {somewhere between 30 and 400}) I say unto thee,"Let NOthing Consume you."
Cheers,

And Now I Say, "Screw Dustin Hoffman"

I know this is going to be a reach for most everyone but, otherwise it just wouldn't (why does my blog not like contractions? any shouldn't, wouldn't, or isn't wasn't whatever has a little red line under it...and when I click on it, it doesn't {another one} give me any reason or re-spelling) be me would it?
Any way the other night I spoke to my lovely wife and it sounded something like this,"Hi...huh...I decieded...uh...that I was here....nuh...why not...whew...do it...grr...love...errgh...you." Now "here" equals New York City, and "it" equates to The New York Marathon! No shit, 26 (point something) miles through New York...running! Crazy right? Yup that's my wife! I just wanted to say that I love her and am so very proud of her.
No pictures though I'll let her do that herself, or whatever, I guess she already posted it on her "facebook" (seems everyone in the world has a facebook, even some of my relatives) but I just wanted to give her a shout out. "GOOD JOB BABY, LOVE YOU!"
I gotta tell you if it were me, I'd sure as Hell find another way to get to where I was going Way, Way before 26 (point something) miles. I could probably walk 500 miles before that. So big props for the little lady.
Cheers,
g

Live From Isaac's

"Finally," you say. Or maybe you've been dreading it all together, but here comes the blog about the gig. It was advertised as "The Buxton Bistro Presents...Those Guys! Live at the Sentinel Pavilion Saturday 2030. We came pretty close to kicking off in time I think, or that's the way I remember it anyway. There was probably 20 or 30 people there (no MWR scout, but whatever) they may have come for the fake beer, or the BBQ, or the cigars, or the kareoke, or to laugh, or (as I like to think) to support Those Guys.
First up we stumbled into "Evergreen" and actually finished it, we hadn't been doing too good at finishing songs the last few practices, there was one night where we didn't even finish a single song, but enought about that. After "Evergreen" came the only original of the night, a song called "Murder" then into the Joy Division classic (and I guess Fall Out Boy or some such shite has recently covered it too) "Love Will Tear Us Apart" then a firery rendition of the Waylon Jennings classic "Just to Satisfy You."
After some heartfelt banter with the crowd (a lively bunch regardless of whatever reason they came) I suggested we rename the unofficially named Sentinel Pavilion, the Lawson Memorial Pavilion (or as I like to think of it Isaac's. It is a nice thought to get away from the office for a minute or two and think, "I'll go over to Isaac's and have a RipIt" or "Let's head over to Isaac's for a BBQ" you know a place to meet and unwind, whatever. The suggestion was applauded and "hooahed" and generally agreed upon by all.
So the band kicked into our last song and Sprad's big guitar solo with "Lips Like Sugar" with a little of this and a little of that thrown in for good measure. We all think it was a success and can't wait to do it again, hopefully with a few more songs for good measure. Dave did a great job behind the board, and Cedric did a great job behind the BBQ (or so I'm told, I know the pizza was good) and Ken did a good job of capturing the moment in true PAO fashion, now if I can only get him to condense the two camera shots of at least one song down to something I can post here. Until then here are a couple of pictures to tide you all over.
Hopefully next time everyone can be there will remember to show up (here I go asking for a blog war...not really but if I let it go would it really be me?)
Cheers,
g
PS. Yes I broke a string that night too, but not until the last song..whew.

Pirates In The Chow Hall

Probably thought I would talk about the gig, but that would be too easy, wouldn't it? Keep 'em guessing I always say. Thing is there's just so much more to talk about...like...uhm...ah...that is to say...
I was gonna talk about something but, I think I have to wait wouldn't want to start a blog war. I was being very serious and sincere when I mentioned that other blog. I really do think it is great and thought that some of you out there in wherever you are land might like it, I read it every chance I get, as a matter of fact it is open right now. That and the Liverpool v Fulham game, which maybe I should be paying more attention to being as Fulham just scored to bring it 1 to 2. But I won't give up on Rafa and his Reds yet (or ever) there is still alot of time left and Liverpool are the better team. I don't want this to be some weird Twitter BS, you know where I tell you that I am doing nothing and then nobody ever reads again.
But it Halloween and the Number One costume so far seems to be "A Civilian" accept with those (did I mention there were too many) civilians, I saw some crap you never ever expect to see while at "War"...(wait for it)...(wait for it)...Pirates in the chow hall. I know right, need I say more? At first I had to a double take at the lady with pink hair, but then enter the Pirates...
End of today's blog, there just isn't anymore to say. Sorry I don't have pictures, you can't take them in the chow hall (I don't know that I could have taken and/or posted them anyway...it was just so wrong.)
Here's a pr
eview of maybe tomorrow's blog though...
Cheers,

Oh, Its "Those Guys"

Yep, look out, lock your doors, and stay away from the windows...live from Camp Liberty, it's Those Guys! Yeah what else were we going to call ourselves, it just kinda stuck (like the mud here, a story for another blog, coz "its only just begun") but what are you going to do about it? You might ask, or not (but I reckon I'm gonna tell you) seems like someone thought there was going to be a talent show at the Halloween Party, well turns out there wasn't but we went sorta balls to the wall and "burned the candle at both ends, and the middle" to try and get ready for it. Yep no time off and doing band practice at 2000 to whenever usually later that 2200-2330 or so. Still getting up, still working all day, and taking people who had only played a few times together and a couple that had never played together and slamming it all in PTs or ACUs and sometimes going without dinner (yeah RipIts, another story for another time, let me put it this way you know how Monsters, and RockStars come in those big ass cans? well RipIts are less than half that size and pack just as much, if not more caffeine...ah the Soldier's best friend) working it all out to try and put at least one song together for this talent show.
Well, the talent show wasn't a reality, but we decided to play at the compound...last Saturday night. Figured what the Hell, five days is plenty of time. We figured we'd kinda let the crowd decide which of the five songs we were learning we'd play at the Talent Show, Dave (the Manager/roadie/groupie) even invited the MWR guy, so even if there wasn't a talent show maybe we could get a gig somewhere down the line (I sure am glad someone believed in us the whole time, coz I pretty sure at one time or another we all doubted the Hell out of ourselves.)
So this is us in the Sentinel Chapel, sometime between eight o'clock pm and midnight practicing way. It was work, fun, sweaty, humourous, painful, and whatever else you might imagine. Oh yeah that and I broke a string every night every night (some people say I play like I'm angry, I just like to think of it as passionate.) More on the actual gig later, with maybe even a supriseMr. PAO can ever get to work. (just kidding Ken)
Cheers,

A Good Day

What is a good day here?
That, I guess is the real question. But I think that everyday equals a different answer, whatever it takes to keep going I guess. Somedays you just get slammed, last week we had one of those "Murphy Days" you know "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong" days it felt like all we could do was keep treading water. (You know every time I talk to one of the guys or whoever about treading water I think of the episode of Magnum P.I. where that is all he does is tread water waiting to be rescued, anyway you either know what I'm talking about or you don't...{more on that later maybe, remind me sometime}) and "Somedays that's the best you can do" but today despite all the crap that flew our way we actually made some head way (crazy, I know.)
I just want to say that I owe it all to the guys. I couldn't be surrounded by a better bunch of Soldiers (how unlike last time is that) and I just want to say thanks.
Arne told me I was deep, or that I must be because he often got lost in my writing. I said, "but I always thought I wrote a lot like I spoke"...d'oh! He also told me he was inspired and got a little deep too, so check out his foray into the world of bloggin at...

http://eastlund.tumblr.com/

Hopefully our competing blog sites don't cancel each other out. By the way good job buddy it does take a village, sometimes I just wish we could all see that and maybe act more like a village.

I know your probably wondering what the Hell is with the picture, I know it doesn't fit with the theme, but it did take me a lot of time to do so I thought I would throw it in. That's me and Jennifer in front of the Rocky statue in Philadelphia. Corny yes but who the Hell cares?

Block Party

You've really got to make the most of your time here, finding the good somewhere in the bad. So that is where "Block Party" comes in. As you can see from the picture, we go all out around here. This from a Sunday Night, that's us drinking fake beer and watching NFL, first game comes on at 8 o'clock 'round here. And it really is the nicest time of year right now (it actually cools off some in the evenings) 'course it was probably still in the 90's when this picture was taken.
I don't understand why people would want to be cooped up in their rooms right now, soon it will be too rainy and miserable and then the next thing you know it will be too damn hot. So we take the time to sit around and pull electronics out into the dirty dust and sit on lawn chairs and the bench that someone made that we inherited (were thinking of adding a roof for the rainy season, won't be have football or movie night {yeah we did that too, we watched "The Hangover"}) and we all sit together and unwind. I could go into detail about fake beer, but that seems like a blog for "and the children come out to play" another day.
Now being who we are we also take the time and effort to get other to stop being hermits and join us by yelling, "Block Party!" everytime we even think that someone might be coming by. Sometimes they stop, sometimes they just laugh and keep walking, but it never gets our spirits down.
Like I said you've got to make the most of what you've got.
Cheer,
g

MTS: Missing Time Syndrome

The name says it all really, and it's not just me...Here we go let me try and explain. I guess that people who are "abducted" by aliens or whatever, they usually can't account for some amount of time. You know they get "back" and look at the clock and say, "What the heck last thing I remember it was three o'clock."
"Why does the clock on the wall now say it's five-thirty," they say. "I know it was three because Oprah was on and I wanted to kill myself, now it's five-thirty and my rear end hurts."
Or whatever, you get the idea. And that is what they call Missing Time Syndrome, and I'm not talking about "Got so drunk I blacked out" time. That is another blog for another day (or not.)
Well that's what it felt like hitting boots on ground here again. Like I fell asleep or whatever and dreamed all the things that have happened during the past 3-4 years of my life. And were not talking about little stuff here, you know getting back, getting married all that stuff all the days and hours just melted away and it was like I'd never left. Weird right (understatement) but I've talked to a lot of people who are returning, whether it is to this particular place or somewhere else in the country...that all feel the Missing Time Syndrome. It smells the same, it looks the same. The heat is the same, the "dirt/sand/?" (another blog for another day as well) everything seems just the same. I wish I had better words for it but...
Suffice it to say that at least my rear end doesn't hurt (no anal probing or other experimentation, mash potato sculptures, or revelations...just weirdness.
I thought I might have a picture that would sum it all up (but if you've seen one picture you've seen them all, they don't always speak a thousand words, sometimes its just one or two or three {sometimes it's just a grunt or sigh}) but I've got nothing. Guess I'll have to try and train my eye to see something here that doesn't look like a thousand other pictures (or what you see when you close your eyes, you know like when you stub your toe or whatever and are jumping around in circles, swearing...with your eyes closed so tight that it goes from darkness to a light that I can't explain...but you know.)
I'll try though.
Cheers,
g

Trust Me It Isn't Snow

Here is why pictures of Kuwait generally don't turn out well. Sure if this was winter in Vermont or whatever it might be a cool effect, but the fact that it is dust and not snow really puts a damper on the happy thoughts.
But hey this is a picture of night so it was better than the day where we found that we were the only ones walking around. Seriously it was like a ghost town (on the moon) everyone with any sense at all was safely hiding in their rooms, or tents, or wherever that was not outside. But there we were walking all the way across Post, and you know what I really can't remember what we were doing or why we were doing it.
That's life though "Walking on the Moon" or so I've always thought of Kuwait, but maybe Mercury or Venus are a more apropos (fancy word there smart guy) since it is generally hotter than...can I say Hell with out the blog police "the blog police are inside of my head" (from apropos to Cheap Trick, really?) coming down on me like a ton of bytes (now with the computer humor, Really?)?
Gotta check on the Liverpool Vs. Sunderland match, still haven't found a place or way to watch the match, but the year is young(oh that's real helpful try and think about how long the year is going to be, way to go Bummer-Man) right?

What Am I Trying To Say

"What are we working for," for that matter? Maybe I am just tired... wouldn't that be a shock?Toninght wasn't a bad night though (the day I guess that is just too hard to quantify, but in the end it wasn't horrible) we (well some of us) do the best we can to make it alright. "Some days that is the best you can do." I can't figure out why people want to hide in their rooms and whatever. More on what we do to make things not suck so much, I should really have pictures for that. Hopefully tomorrow, if I can just remember that damn camera.

My Dumb Side

Okay,
So it seems that I have forgotten how to think...I thought I would put up some pictures and stuff and brought my camera and usb cable, and then sat down and realized that my camera doesn't do that sort of thing.
So pictures are put off again until tomorrow but then again no one knows to read this yet so...I will remember to do so tomorrow and try and put out that email thing so that people can read and look at pictures and whatever else you are supposed to do on this thing.
When I was looking at my pictures I realized that I didn't have any (on the camera) of Ft. Dix, and maybe that is okay. Best left forgotten. I think that when people ask me, "Where did you mob out of?" I will just say, "I don't remember" or "I choose not to" (go Bartlby go) but eventually you will see some if only just for comparision.
Becasue in all actuality the same can probably be said for Kuwait too. After all it says it right in the name.
So sorry nothing fancy this time around but by the time anyone reads this or whatever, you probably won't even notice. And on that note I bid thee goodnight, coz it is night here.

Cheers,

Here is...just what you've been waiting for...

Welcome,

Not really gonna get much further than that right now, keep looking to the skies..."Aim for stars, and hit the sky"...for much, much more. But as time is pressing and I really don't have a lot to say or any pictures to post I just wanted you all to know that I am fine and will do better with the communication...eventually.
Cheers,
G
